Didn't Jake play in a WCO at New Orleans? I'm not saying he will succeed if he ends up in Cleveland, but I don't think the WCO will be the reason if he doesn't succeed either.

he never played in N.O. so, doesn't matter. couldn't even beat out Aaron Brooks.

i'm very skeptical that outside of a Fox/Steve Smith system Jake can do anything in NFL

Actually, he played very well with the Saints when he got a chance. I'm pretty sure there were a lot of Saints fans that wanted him to start. Just because the guy was bad last year does not mean that he was never good.

you are correct; the majority of Saints fans wanted Jake over that pig Aaron Brooks. Brooks was SO bad, after the Saints cut him he was out of the league within a year. Haslett had something (sort of like Fox with Jake) that made him bet the farm on Brooks. It's amazing that the closer some of these coaches are to the fire, they fail to see the obvious. For the record, Jake was pretty good when he was given the chance with the Saints. He still has a pair of Neo Deion's shoes from when Jake burnt him and knocked the Cowboys out of the playoffs.

Thank you. I'm just as glad that Delhomme was released as anybody, but there is a lot of revisionist history going on around here about him. The guy was a pretty good QB for a few years, whether some people want to admit it or not.

He played a total of 2 games in New Orleans

http://www.nfl.com/players/jakedelhomme/profile?id=DEL367367

In those 2 games, it was similar to his recent stats here once not even Steve Smith could bail him out:

1999: 2 games, 76 pass attempts, 43 Comp....5 Interceptions

he also played a small portion of a game another year. 10 pass attempts.

2.5 INT's per game in New Orleans, just as he finished here
