By two weeks, I'm assuming that means done in time to plot the course for the draft. It really could take longer, but I could see how the teams invovled would want something in place well ahead of time.

I sounds a bit fishy to me also, but not totally out of the question about this potential "trade".

I dunno man. It would have to be something good like a 1st rounder and a good replacement. Who's out there really? That Sproles out of SD got a tender didn't he? I thought they were gonna let him walk. I wonder if they'd trade him to us with their first rounder for DWill

no way this happens. The orgainization is cutting money in order to retain the younger core players on this team. D-will is front and center of this campaign along w/ beason and davis. they have already lost 2 iconic figures of the franchise this offseason (peppers and delhomme), no way they chance alienating the fans by trading away another for a lower pick than originally obtained, and paying more for a guy who isnt as good. Fox's system requires 2 great RB's to work, we have that in place, we need to focus on fixing the other pieces, WR and QB.

You people act like Williams is done in a year or two. I favor DeAngelo for two reasons: he's my favorite Panther, and he's more talented than Stewart.

once again I dont have to convince you, you seem to know it all anyway,but some see apicture here.We have a luxury of having to great backs, 1 in his final year of contract. do we need another peppers reenactment? let him walk and get nothing. do we need a return man and we could get a 1st rounder also

      The point is there is a difference between analyst saying he is the consensus no.1 and scouts/GMs saying it. If you are saying the substance is a bunch of talking heads on ESPN saying then that doesnt mean anything. There was literally numerous sources saying we were taking Stroud around the combine and mock draft creators, even Vegas had him as the favorite for a while. It changed later on, what part of that screams consensus? We know why it changed...the substance is irrelevant. Bryce supporters constantly bringing this up while he has shown nothing so far outside of heading to bust territory just comes off like giant Cope. Bryce had multiple red flags, there is no way all the teams had him as the best QB. He didnt even give any other teams the time of day outside of panthers and texans which makes it even more unclear they would all have him number 1.  Thats not your substance to support he was consensus no. 1. Period.
