I have a feeling we are going to get TJ Ford this offseason. We have tried numerous times to grabbed him. Plus he is absolutely being fugged in Indy.

I'd like to see us go after Salmons or Outlaw/Azubuike.

im pretty sure ur nummbrs are wrong.... tyson has a player option next yr for around 11 mil and naz has 2yrs left i believe...... we should only have our 5mil exemption that most teams get, im hopin we can sign heywood with that.... he likes it here

All of the Bobs 5 spot players are overpaid, but Chandler will be coming off of the books after next season which will open up quite a bit of cap room.

Your numbers are way off. Chandler will not opt out and if we want to bring back Ray or Thomas by signing them to anything remotely close to their value we will be over the luxury tax before the season even starts. However, you don't get penalized for being over the tax until the end of the season, so we will have until the trade deadline to make a move.

Something has to give though so most likely one of the 3 scenarios below will happen.

1) We lose Ray, Thomas or both in FA due to the team not wanting to exceed the luxury tax.

2) We sign Ray/Thomas back and trade away Chandler or Nazr's expiring contracts in a money saving move. I know it doesn't sound so bad but most likely if there is no one esle involved in the deal we'll have to send out another asset such as a draft pick to get another team to take them.

3)We sign Ray/Thomas back and Jordan accepts paying the tax for one year even though he's said he wouldn't (which I agree with btw since this team isn't a true contender)

Lets hope the competitor comes out in Michael and that he sucks it up for one year and pays the tax because we should have money available for FA in 2011.
