Deron Williams

Deron is great, but Paul is better.

I disagree, Deron is the best young point guard in the NBA but imo Nash is still the best until he retires.

Paul is super overrated, they have done nothing the past couple years and like I Am said, Collison has been just as good if not better.

This. Watch Nash play. He might be the best point guard i have ever seen play. He is amazing to watch lead a team. He is older but he still has it. Kidd is above those guys too. Dallas wouldn't be doing the things they are doing without Kidd.

Thats true, Im really surprised that both Kidd and Nash have played so well this year.

Imo the best pure point guard of all time is John Stockton. He is the all time NBA leader in assists and steals and he is so far ahead of number 2 in each stat its not even funny.

Of course many consider Magic the best point guard but imo he wasnt a pure point guard and he had some many advantages over Stockton like his size and strength.

Naw. CP3 doesnt turn the ball over nearly as much as Collison, dude's a turnover machine. It understanding right now, he's still a rookie, but I wouldnt put him near Paul. Paul has a much better shot, passes the ball better, etc. The Hornets need Paul to be successful. Collison is still balling, though.

You mention that Paul hasnt done anything with his team the past couple years, well look at who he's playing with, and look at who Deron is playing with. Paul's working with basically a bunch of scrubs; aside Thornton and Collison(he hasnt got to play with them much this year), and he's working with West but West is overrated. If Paul had the players Deron's working with, I feel Paul would be head and shoulders above the rest of the pack of young PG's. Right now, I have both CP and Deron about equal.

Paul is the most efficient PG the NBA has ever seen and puts up ridiculously guady numbers at the same time. The only PG even remotely close statistically is Magic. Plus the kid is already extremely clutch. As long as injuries or his team/owner doesn't get in his way, since people tend to judge much of a players worth on rings, he will likely go down as the best player under 6'4 to ever play the game.

The only thing Collison's play in Paul's absence proves is that Collinson is a very good player.

As for Nash, it is unbelievable how good he is at his age. A lot of people like to say that he didn't deserve his two MVP's and that he was a product of Pringles system. However that has been proven false since he went to NY and Nash is still doing his thing in. Steve is truly one of the all time great PG's. Hollinger has an article up now about how he ranks at the top of the league in shooting all time.

    • Him and Sanders are the only QBs I would consider in the first round. I won’t be upset if we take Sanders, unlike some people on the board. Both have potential to be really good NFL QBs if the teams can develop them.  But as we have seen teams are not willing or are unable to now properly develop rookie QBs.
    • I remember the last time we had a Cam at QB in Charlotte
    • Because Young is so historically bad that it just skews too far outside the normal deviations that perspective is easily lost. That or they just don't want to believe it.  The struggles last year would have been more about the infighting and poor roster building or idiot owner's hiring practices than with Stroud. He wouldn't have been as good but he wouldn't have been ruined here and the pressure was not Carr-esk if you take out the Young created portion from his playing style.  Dude is a young guy on a team coached by a Defensive guy building a good D but not building up the O in year 2 of his HC 1st time gig. Seems familiar... Go look at his output this year and not just some crappy Thursday night implosion game, I would take that in a second and never ever look back every time without a shred of doubt while eating 4 of those games a year with a giant smile on my face.
