what impact did Peppers walking have on Jerry?

Carl's Stone Cold Lock of the Century.... of the Week is Peppers is now one of the most overpaid and overrated players in the NFL!

Gman, it didn't matter what the Panthers offered Pep he wanted out. Time to move on, I suggest irrational hatred. You seem to already have plenty of that, just focus it on JP!

Just let GMan playout his pathetic little fantasy. You need to realize that he is neither a Panthers Fan nor lives in Charlotte. He is a troll who does nothing but post things to try and get a rise out of people. Don't feed him and maybe he will move on.

I think Peppers leaving did have some type of effect on the FO. I thought if we got Davis and Diggs resigned, get a Wr or 2 in the draft maybe a qb to compete with Moore and Delhomme we would be contenders. But when Peppers left I honestly think that poo got the ball rolling and the FO was pissed and said fug it cut everyody over 30. I am probably in the minority here but I don't think Delhomme should have been cut until at least after TC, because he does know the offense well and could have really challenged Moore and made him better. But now that there is no competition maybe Moore won't play any harder or try and get any better because the job has been given to him. Not to say he didnt earn most of it the last 6 games but if you don't have anybody behind you that can play and you are already gonna get paid more guaranteed money than you ever have had in life thats just asking for trouble unless the person getting the money actually has some reason to try hard and most will not if he knows nobody is gonna replace him.

Frankly I bet JR is relieved to be rid of him. He wanted Peppers to be a vocal leader, and the guy isn't capable. Any disappointment that Richardson had came in 2008, not in 2010.

You don't make billions by being overly sentimental, do you?

That would assume that Peppers could put together a coherent sentence. Umm urh yeah, I uhh well...

I think JR grew tried of playing games with Peppers, they offer him that contract in 2007 and he ignores it, then he says he wants out, then he says he wants to stay, then he turns down another good offer, etc, etc...

The "Peppers situation" was becoming a constant distraction for the Panthers. It was causing young leaders on the team like Beason to get on the radio and call him out. On top of all that, I'm sure Richardson saw the inconsistent play just like everyone else and decided enough was enough.
