WFNZ would have to shut down if not for us

WFNZ gets slammed all the time on this forum.

I personally love the station. Pac, buc, mac all great shows and very entertaining most the time

I'm not really slamming them. I've always loved The Mac Attack and I've warmed up to Packer's show lately since I've been forced to stream them so I have something to listen to at work. The 12-3 spot is weak though, when Mark Yarbrough replaced Frank Garcia for a week it was the most competent broadcast that time slot has seen since that show started.

I HATE HATE HAAAAATE Colin Cowherd.

radio shows everywhere across all kinds of genres use message boards and the internet to get ideas for talk topics.

just like they read the news and use that.

there is nothing unique about this situation.

I agree, they would be stupid not to use available resources to see what people are and want to be talking about.

In fairness, there have also been numerous times I have been listening while driving into work at 7am and they are talking about a topic and then it becomes a topic on here an hour later.

Pretty sure they wouldn't have to shut down if the Huddle wasn't here. Sports radio has been a gold mine the last several years. Even during the recession their business was having double digit growth. Sports talk radio has made many, many people extremely wealthy (and Pacman is one of them).

Not in Charlotte - FNZ's ratings sagged to the point that now 1660 is just talk radio. Packer's show has made a killing because he's syndicated across the SouthEast.

Interesting....I didn't know they were doing so poorly.....they must be doing something wrong then.....wonder why... maybe they should stop taking things from the huddle. :D
