First on Smitty getting rid of Jake. Sure he wasn't that happy but how long has he been wanting another WR? He has made it well known for this to happen a few years now and how has that gone? So they don't listen to SS.

The Big Cat last year in so many words said to is FO staff, see ya in 2012.

Boys and girls, get ready to get close to 90mil for the Cap instead of 125 or thereabouts last year.

You can speculate and wring your hands over picks and free agency. It may not be a fire sale but this FO is basically going into a financial bunker for two seasons and want to come out and see if there is anything left and will go from there.

Unlike the model franchise Pitt that they supposedly emulate, Pitt is saying they are acting as if there is a salary cap. That may well be the case but don't expect anything splashy.

Bargain hunting is what you will see and that's it. Can they get a good squad that way? Remains to be seen.

no. stop your crying. they're gearing up for something huge. or at least semi huge. cause they did something similar to this just before they picked up david carr... which at the time was a huge signing for us, considering we thought he'd compete for the starting job... so with that being said...

a wide receiver or a new QB will be signing with us soon. derek anderson just got released.... you never know!

      People looking at the offense negatively need to step back a minute and remember that expectations were mighty low this year. We have a lot of young guys and rookies. And our qb is a newby in the system he is in with a new coach who has never been a head coach and signal caller combined.  This is a work in progress so only an approach which recognizes incremental improvement is valid for best measuring where we are versus  demanding immediate success after a 2-15 campaign last year.
