Man, you really missed the point of the OP.

We were laughing at Peppers agent who basically put together a 1 year $20M contract. The Bears have all of the leverage and Pep could be left sitting (unpaid) in 2011.

The Bears were incredibly smart (if they think Pep was worth a $20M rental fee....which I don't). But, long-term they hold all the cards and Pep's agent looks like someone capable of running a lemoade stand.

This is funny because this is about the same amount we would have paid him had we franchise tagged him this year.. seems to me that Peppers would have been OK with us tagging him again.. it's precisely the deal Peppers was looking for.

Pep is gonna find out really fast that Carey is not cut out to be an NFL agent, putting together a contract like that is horrible for someone like Pep.
