5 favorite panthers of all time

Why the hell are there people in here that have D'Will on their top 5 but not Smith? Where have you guys been the past 5 years?

1.Smith

2.Jake

3.Peppers

4.Kasay

5 Tie: Stephen Davis/Morgan (just for playing so hard for us with that many freaking concussions. Both really put their health and bodies on the line for our team)

D'Will, Beason and the new guys could end up there next year, but right now they are still un-seasoned. They are on the right path though. But they have to do it consistently, year after year.

I guess people don't like their players punching other teammates in the face...

Besides, its a FAVORITE players thread.

Mine are

1. Sam Mills (Nobody gave more to this organization than him)

2. Kevin Greene (One of my favorite LBs we have had)

3. Julius Peppers (Played for UNC and ended up being a great player for the Panthers!)

Everyone else is too close to put in order:

Wesley Walls (Best TE we ever had and one of the best ever)

Steve Beuerlein (Best skilled QB we ever had)

Kasay (Original Panther and bailed us out so many times)

Beason (Quickly became a leader on defense and one of the best MLBs today)

DeAngelo (Best RB in team history and one of the elites today)

Mike Minter (Was the heart of our defense for a while and great leader)

Muhsin Muhammad (Been here for over a decade and 2nd best receiver we've had)

As players:

1. Steve Smith ( Probably the most talented, hardest working, and most productive player to wear the panther jersey)

2. Deangelo Williams ( The best panther RB ever and the first to bring two consecutive 1000 yd seasons I believe)

3. Julius Peppers ( Self explanatory)

4. Dan Morgan/Jon Beason. Both are/were the heart and soul of the defense, played like champions and represent everything a panther should be on the field.

5. I'm gonna go with another tie breaker here with Sam Mills and Mike Minter. Both had similar leadership qualities with close to elite talent level.

For the Franchise: I think you need 6 for this.

1. Mike Minter

2. Jon Beason

3. Steve Smith ( He and Pep put us on the map. Obvious off the field issues though)

4. Julius Peppers

5. Sam Mills

6. Deangelo Williams

Close call: Mike Rucker

Okay, so I realize I hopped the bandwagon in 2003, but here goes:

1. DeAngelo Williams

2. Steve Smith

3. Jake Delhomme

4. Julius Peppers

5. Chris Harris

Those are the guys that I've most enjoyed watching play over the years. Many would take issue with Delhomme, I'm sure, but how many times has that guy made clutch plays with the game on the line? Good times.
