Can you blame him for being upset about the Hoover cut? He took all the other cuts fine because he understood it was right for the team.

Cutting Hoover was a stupid mistake.

I would have agreed with you this morning but not now. Hoover was on the back-side of his carreer. A year or two away from retiring. He has dealt with chronic back pain the last two years, pain bad enough so that he couldn't play. For a smash-mouth guy like Hoover that is a lot of pain.

While sentimentally he is a player that no fan wants to see go, as a business and team perspective, it was his time.

Hoover was old but he was still a very productive player. The running game was not the same when he was out of the lineup. Fiammetta definitely struggled when he was in there. We have no reason to beleive he will be an upgrade at this point. Hoover wasnt making alot of money anyway. It would have made alot more sense to let him stay one more year so Fiammetta would have more time to learn.
