JR is on a mission....

Yeah, some of you think this is a fire sale and JR is just out not to spend money this year.

Well that is complete rubbish, pardon my language.

JR got a new heart and a new lease on life. It began last season by poo canning his sons, a warning shot across the bow of everyone elsein the organization. Season goes by with little success, but what success there is comes from the younger players. Moore, J-Stew, Sutton, Beason, Captain, etc.

So guess what, JR is poo canning the dead weight. If you are not helping, you are hurting and you gots to go. You don't haave to go home, but you have to get the fug out of Carolina.

Watch out boys and girls, JR is a sleeping giant and will be bringing a lombardi home to Carolina sooner rather than later.

You're my boy, Jerry. You're my boy. Keep doing what you do.

Love,

Zod

He is prepping for post Fox and making sure Fox can't win in 2010. That is what JR is doing.

JR is poo canning guys who won't matter in 2012 and will leave the team in a state where a fantastic job in 2010 by Fox at best will get this roster to 8-8 AND fired. Hoover has been one of the best if not best blocking FB in the NFL the past two seasons.....so the logic he is only getting rid of old and unproductive players doesn't fit what JR is doing. He is prepping for post Fox and making sure Fox can't win in 2010. Kasay will follow. Tough to argue those guys wouldn't make Carolina a better team in 10.0

Well the chances of Moose, Wesley, Brayton, K. Vincent coming back have gone from slim to none. Even at vet minimum salary, they would still be a lot more expensive than a 3rd round draft pick.

Witherspoon probably aint coming back either. At 29, this will be his last chance at a decent sized contract and he isn't getting that here.

Or....

He is preping this team for sale. No overpaid vets, sons out of the way, Fox and company's contracts expire after this year....

Hey I caught poo for posting this before, but from the fire sale that is happening...

JR is on a mission. Doesn't mean it is going to work though. There are alot of teams going down this road. KC and St Louis are 2 that come to mind. Don't exactly see any playoffs in their future either. Truth is we are going down a completely different road than the last 15 years. Feel free to believe this is new philosophy based on JRs new vigor and I have some wetland I want to sell you. To assume this is JR getting healthy or going for a championship is naive at best and ignores the elephant the room. What has changed that is driving it this year than hasn't been the case the last 15 years? The CBA and lockout potential. Anything else is wishful thinking. JR is dumping the vets and going cheap. The only way I will believe anything else is if he locks up guys like Williams and Davis when he could front load their contracts for example to avoid a cap hit down the road. That would require money to pay the extensions and signing bonuses. Otherwise, he is saving money now and looking at the short term not the long term.

Why in the world would he want to make sure that Fox can't win in 2010? He can get rid of Fox any time he choses.

That has to be the most ridiculous arguement I have heard so far today....and that is really saying something.

Lulz. If he's trying to make the team so shitty that Fox wants to quit, he ain't dedicated to winning.

not really the goal. you take away his right to play and keep whatever players he wants you take away his authority and with it pride. you make it obvious you don't trust his judgment and make him want to leave.

Two weeks ago, it was bought up that he was more concerned with saving the NFL money than his own team. Whatever happened to that argument?

There's what 54 players left on payroll, what 15 of them make a million or more this coming season. I'd say the active payroll has gotten under 100 million for players on the team. It's still here and there quite a few people who think that's what's going on.

*frrrt*

It seems whenever the Panthers do stupid poo, you come up with a brain-dead thread about how everything is going to be alright and how JR has a plan to get a free lombardi next season, and that he really doesn't just care about his wallet (yeah right). Then, of course, nothing ever ever happens as you so boldly predict, and when we do another stupid move, you repeat the process. Either you're delusional or you're f**king with us, but hey, just my guess.
