Hoover released...

I believe that had more to do with the God Awful play of Jake....don't try and make any correlation to Hoover not being in.

But, he did miss 5 games....for a Back Problem that has bothered him for several seasons.

Why was Jake having a bad game? Because we couldn't run the ball?

Ha Ha Ha Are you actually trying to make the case that Jake's bad play was becasue of our running game? That is in fact the dumbest post to date.

You know when our running game struggles, jake's forced to pass, right? We all know what happens when the game is in Jake's hands. It's not completely unreasonable

This is like dealing with a 1st grader.

We couldn't run the ball, so we had to try and pass the ball. Jake tried to force more plays.

I wonder how many pages a "D-Will's Been Traded" topic will have.

I don't want to even think about how many pages a Steve Smith release/traded topic will have.

Please don't jinx them. Maybe if we don't say anything, the FO will not notice that we still have a couple of players on the roster.

Hoover leaves Panthers with 'heavy heart'

The Carolina Panthers have confirmed fullback Brad Hoover's release this afternoon.

"Brad has been here since the day I arrived in Carolina," said Panthers coach John Fox. "When things were difficult he was a leader and someone the players and coaches always knew would be accountable.

"On the field, he was the ultimate competitor and set a physical tone in both his style and attitude."

Hoover's agent, Tim Irwin, said that Hoover was given the news this morning.

"Brad wants to thank the Panthers organization and the fans. He certainly leaves there with a heavy heart. That's what he authorized me to say."

Irwin said Hoover did not feel up to talking at this time.

"We certainly believe Brad has some good years left," said Irwin. "He's obviously going to try to play somewhere else now. He's not done.

"I think they cut a good, viable player who has some time left. But that's my opinion. They're entitled to theirs."

that is not why Jake sucked.

By the way....we rushed for 168 yards against the Dolphins in that game.

This is a team that could be stopped running the ball for two downs, and then bust a 20-yarder on first and long. We were also playing one of the league's worst run defenses. There is no way Jake should have thrown that much.
