Patrick Willis makes interesting comments on David Carr

Ha. I'm with Willis on this one. Carr sucks. Vick on the other hand would bring some much needed playmaking to there offense. Sure he is not a prototypical QB that will drop back and pass but you have to admit when he was on the Falcons (and healthy) they were the most exciting offense in the league (at least to me). They also won games.

I believe Vick could take the 49ers from 8-8 to the playoffs. But I guess that doesn't matter to anybody else else. Would rather have a washed up never has been then a playmaker?

Why would we talk about Vick when he was with Atlanta and healthy. That was years ago before he went to prison and sat on the bench for Philly. That is like saying Delhomme would be a upgrade this year because he was great in 2005. Both are ancient history and have no bearing on the present.

He showed that kind of playmaking. When was Jake every a threat to take one to the house? Vicks main asset throughout his career was his play on the run. Its not like he had some major injury. He just has missed a year or two. Ricky Williams did it and came back pretty well.

To a team like the 49ers who need playmakers on offense to get them over the hump he is one of the best (if not the best) at QB (at least by themselves lets face the 49ers don't have the most talented WR corp). Vick played well last year in spot duty. That includes both running and passing. I think he would be a spark plug to a team that has a good defense and great RB.

Not smart for Willis to shoot his mouth off about a player the front office is interested in.

Something tells me his coach will want to have a talk with him.

I hope rumors don't get out that they are trying to trade him. Thats all we need is 15 "Beason to OLB and get Willis to play MLB" threads.

Again you miss the point totally. He was a playmaker. The key word is was, not is. Vick was never a good quarterback simply a good running back. Just missing a year or two is an understament of grand proportions. He hasn't started since 2006 (minus the one garbage game in Philly) which was 4 seasons ago.

He will be 30 in June. For running backs they go downhill fast after 30. And believe me he is more of a running back than quarterback. You remind of Atlanta Falcon- Vick fans. You constantly tout his abilities despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I recognize when I need to bow out here. Obviously nothing I or anyone will say will change your mind since your opinion is obviously not rooted in any fact or element of reality.
