I'm not against it, but the Carolina FO would laugh if someone brought this up.

Giants considering Jeff Garcia for backup spot

The Giants will consider a pair of 40-year-old quarterbacks to replace David Carr.

The team is expected to look into Jeff Garcia and Mark Brunell, according to the New York Daily News.

Garcia spent last season out of the league, but he would like to get back in. His agent says Garcia doesn't have a visit planned "yet" but he is "waiting to hear" from New York.

Brunell was Drew Brees' backup in New Orleans last season, but it' unclear if they want him back.

The Giants will start their backup search by meeting with Manning caddy Jim Sorgi Monday.
