agreed i just hope some of moose's hustle, blocking, and route running rubbed off on jarret because if it has jarret will b dirt plus he has alot more talent than moose.

All the concerns I heard about Moore I am hearing about Jarrett. Like questions about there work ethic and playbook knowledge. And yet no one can show me what player or coach voiced that. Everything I have read is over the last 2 years he had begun to work harder. And like Moore showed promise but never has seen much playing time until an injury arouse.

I know what you'l say "oh but Moose was out at the 1st of the season". Yeah but look who was throwing to him. You have to be really bad to make Smith look bad and he did for quite a few games. When Moore and Jarrett were both starting Jarrett has a career game. What do you know?

The same person or people that were holding back Moore also did it to Jarrett. Whether it was intentional or not that has been what has happened. I firmly believe that. Thats why I am loving all these cuts. I think JR has finally put his foot down and is going to let our younger and I believe more talented stars to shine.

exactly, people loved to say Moore was not dedicated and or have a work ethic and THAT was why Fox stuck with Moore. They basis was b/c Fox said they had to scale things down for him in 07. Well, he was an undrafted kid who didn't spend camp in Carolina........make sense.

Most WRs don't get it until year 3....and then factor in how young he was coming into the league. Most WRs don't really get the game until they are approaching there mid 20s. Jarrett isn't Smith is MANY ways. People want to put too much on Smith telling him to study film instead of talking to reporters. I doubt Jarrett puts in less work then any other WR that young.

A lot of people don't like Jarrett, and I don't blame them, but I think he'll be around for one more year. WR is still one of our weakest positions.

One point to remember is that in our offensive scheme, we rarely run 3 wide. Also, when Jarrett was in the game, it was usually as a blocker (which he did very well). The handful of times he went out in a pattern, he often was able to get open, but was likely the 3rd or 4th option so didn't get targeted.

I think a lot of the negativity started during his rookie year when a lot of us had high expectations for him, but he came in a bit complacent. However, by all reports, he now gets it and understands what he needs to do, and is working a lot harder. The other big reason is his lack of productivity, but like I said, much of that can be attributed to the fact we don't often send 3 receivers out, along with the fact that he was primarily used as a blocker.

edit: never mind. Sidney Rice was the receiver taken one below Jarrett. Yes we could have had Steve Smith(NYG).

I promise you he'll make the team, in less they bring 2 or 3 more WR (even then I am pretty confident he would make it). He is only 23 has only 1 year left on a very reasonably priced deal. He is big, a good blocker, and has shown that he can catch a cold in the desert if the ball gets around him. I think Tolbert hands on approach was specifically why he was hired, so he could work on Jarrett. I am excited about his potential.
