Aaron Kampman signs with Jaguars

has anyone even came to the realization that our organization might think our current DEs are good enough to start... AND be impact players. considering they are the ones who evaluate them on practice, i think they know what they are doing. we'll prolly sign some vet DEs as backups. also our DT situation is better than it has been in since 2005. with kemo (the immovable rock who gets ZERO penetration and can just be run around) and lewis (the semi decent penetration DT who gets BLOWN UP on the run) gone, i think we'll see more tackles for loss, more rushed throws from opposing qbs, and a better running defense this year.

4 yrs 26 mill for motor guy thats 30+ and coming off a torn ACL? Id like to have him but not even for have that or half half. panthers did the right move by staying away and not wasting time. 11 guaranteed? about 80% too much for taste, the move shows what a desperate team does.

As Packer fan I was sorry to Kampman go.

He didn't pan out in our change to a 3-4 defense

and could be great again in the Jags 4-3.

It's been reported that he's ahead of schedule

as far as his rehab is going.

Lots of Ted Thompson haters are blaming him

for not trading him before last year, but it's

easy to have hindsight. And the injury was a

terrible break for us. I think he would have

been a good pick-up for you guys but he got

a pretty sweet deal from the Jags.

Best of luck(in the AFC) Aaron!!

You'll be missed in GB.

Go Pack!!

    • A lot of people think this draft is weak at QB--I think, after the first five picks of the first round, there are a ton of developmental QBs who could develop into the role--here is the psychology behind it--Bryce becomes the mentor--you can learn as much by teaching others than by being taught.   It also makes him a true leader.  But I think there are a few QB in this draft that might not be ready now, but in 2 years, could be NFL starting QBs--Howard, Rourke, Ewers, Milroe, Dart, etc.  Talk about a cheaper backup and one that could evolve into trade capital--or if Bryce can't find consistency-his replacement.  Round 3 will have some of these qbs--maybe early day 3.
    • hopefully he has the impact on the run game post surgeries that TD had on defense after his surgeries.
