I, and others, thought that we should take him to foster a little competition before the emergence of Moore anyway. I still believe that we should "steal" him if we can.

He does have some playing experience and has been mentored for a while now.

I think Smith would be a better option then a rookie.

sounds good, I like troy smith and I think we should have drafted him, I mean he was like the 3rd or 4th to last pick and we had that option and didn't act on it for what I dont know but now would be a good time to get him on the team and get him in our system:thumbsup:

Agreed, Smith has been in an NFL system for a little while now. Plus, no QB in the draft we could get would have had anywhere close to the success that he had during his time at Ohio State. I say give it a try, who knows, maybe a QB of that type of playing style could mesh well with our offense. It can't hurt.
