Peppers was "willing to stay"

I Really hope that no one believes this bull. One minute he says he does not care for the money and it's about winning. The next thing you know it's about a "1.5 million dollar" per year difference!!! WTF!?! Be serious; we tried to make him the highest paid player that year, if he hadn't said the money didn't matter the situation would be different. THAT'S THE DEFINITION OF CONTRADICTORY... I wanted him to stay but ever since he did that public BS last year I have considered him a 1/2 Panther...I didn't know whether he cared to be here or not. I'm just glad it's finally over...Now what do I do with this Authentic Alternate Julius Peppers Jersey?!?! SMH

the panthers are the ones who didn't offer peppers a contract this offseason, not the other way around where he would have spurned you.

uhhh they offered him a contract that would have paid him 14 million a year about 3 weeks ago.

how did will smith do in week eight vs. gross? while he's a very good DE he's nowhere near as talented as peppers. when peppers is motivated there isn't one tackle in the league that can stop him, and you can bank on it that he will be motivated when the bears roll into charlotte.

who the hell can't get to the QB when he can't find the open man. Jake held the ball for 30 seconds a snap . don't kid yourself

We’ve heard multiple times that the Carolina Panthers made at least two strong attempts to lock up Julius Peppers for the long term. But now we know there were at least three attempts, with the final one coming sometime in the past few weeks.

According to several sources, the Panthers made a last-ditch offer to their defensive end sometime shortly before they announced they would let him walk into unrestricted free agency. The offer was for somewhere close to $14 million a year, the sources said.

Honestly, even though I am a Panther die hard, I would LOVE to see Pep come to BoA next year and give 100% and absolutely dominate. I woud love to see him influence the game and become an absolute beast tearing off heads and shitting down throats.

Because I have waited for him to show how good his ass actually is for the last 9 years and he still hasn't done it. To actually see how good he could be for once would probably be special. Unfortunately his ass will put forth about a 60-80% effort, at best.
