Tim Tebow a Panther??

The National Football Post's Michael Lombardi believes Florida QB The Golden Calf of Bristol is "very high" on the Panthers' draft board.

Lombardi doesn't have inside info here, but it's a fit that makes a lot of sense. The Panthers value high character players as much as any team in the league, and they're without a backup to Matt Moore. The Golden Calf of Bristol would give them a high-upside developmental project in case Moore falls short of franchise QB status.

The Panthers have so many needs, and so few picks, that there's simply no telling which direction they will go... They could certainly do worse than The Golden Calf of Bristol in the second (no chance in hell he lasts til the third)... With the moves of the last few days, it confuses the hell out of the draft day approach (for us as fans)... We simply have no way of knowing how highly they view Johnson and Brown, and the DE situation... We have no way of knowing if they view Moore as the long term solution (at this point)... Keep in mind, he's still only on a one year tender, and if he succeeds as we are obviously hoping he will, he's open to the highest bidder in 12 months... QB is as pressing a need as DE, provided you believe that all starters are on the team already (Moore, Brown and Johnson)... The argument could certainly be made that DT is the teams most pressing need, followed closely by WR... Bottom line is we could go a half a dozen directions with our first pick this year, and none of them would be wrong...
I agree with ya.

I will even admit to originally thinking that The Golden Calf of Bristol wouldn't even be considered by us. That was before I watched, and listed to him and the combine. Not that I think he is the perfect QB, I don't. He is the perfect player, as he is smart, athletic, a natural leader, and constantly striving to improve himself. I found myself actually hoping he'd fall to us.

That being said, there are lot of directions we can go in this draft. This is a talent loaded draft, as all the underclassmen are taking their last chance to strike it rich before there is a rookie salery cap.

WR, DT, OG, QB, CB...any of them would improve our team.

As much as I like The Golden Calf of Bristol, and believe there is a chance for him to slip to us, I think they'll draft elsewhere with the 2nd round pick ~ but I could be wrong.

He's got a LOT of the same characteristics that Jake had. I'm talking about...a LOT.

Exactly. But like Jake, he'll quickly gain a flock of followers because of his FIREY ATTTITUDEZ INTANJIBELS N LEEDERSHIP!!

Eh I would rather have a QB who can make accurate passes, has proper mechanics, a good to great arm and good pocket awareness.....call me old fashioned I guess.....
