Current Roster

I don't understand why people think we need to add to the offensive line. Gross, Wharton, Kalil and Otah will be returning starters and Bernadeau showed he can be a starter although I expect a competition between him and Robinson. Schwarts even showed some flashes. The only players that are question marks is CJ Davis and Garry Williams but they did make the final roster last year and three starters would have to go down before either one of them saw the field. At that point, it doesn't matter who your backups are, you're screwed anyway.

Yeah, I'm concerned. I know it's a good time to cut some overpaid guys since there's no cap, but they need to replace at least some of them. All 4 starting d.linemen are going to be gone since it seems there's no interest in resigning Brayton, a starting LB plus someone might be willing to give up a 2nd for Marshall. I don't want to panic on the second day of free agency, but I would feel better if I knew what direction they're going in. Seems like they're ready to forfeit the 2010 season.

Four words, "IN MEEKS WE TRUST".

IMO, this is what Fox and Hurney are doing. Another poster, sorry I forget who you were, mentioned that Meeks doesn't have a predetermined type of player he wants as far as size is concerned because he will use any size if they have talent. What is so special about Meeks is his ability with his defensive scheme to utilize players strengths while covering up a lot of their weaknesses. Thus, it's easier to find value in a player that a lot of times is overlooked by other teams.

In Indy, Meeks was able to make a lot of average talented players look like pro-bowlers. Cato June for example. CATO JUNE!?

Even with all the losses on defense, I'm still more concerned with the WR position than I am the DL. And that has everything to do with Meeks.

Give the FO some love since 2007 they have drafted GREAT. They got matt moore for free. If moore has a FA, some team would happily give him 60 million. 7th rounders have proven they belong.

way I see it panthers have between 38-43 jobs right now. so that leaves 9- 14 jobs open. draft picks will net 7 plus couple undrafted. The draft being deep, there should a good group of "street" rookies and the panthers will have the open positions. Sign a few cheap non-guarantee FAs for competition and draft well. roster is set. needs-DE,WR,QB,ST,OG/C. avoid (unless someone falls) RB,FB,DBs,TEs. both-DT,K,T,LB
