Statue For Jake Delhomme

Maybe one of Smitty carrying Jake on his shoulders for the years 2004-2009 ?

Definitely for 2004 when Smith was on IR and Moose was the best WR in the league.

What would Jake do without Smith for a whole season???!!!

oh yeah put up the best numbers of his career.

This is getting silly. We don't need anymore Panthers statues. Having Mills is enough. Jake may been the best QB in his prime for the Panthers, but it doesn't mean he need a statue. Hell, Smitty, Beason, etc. don't need one either. Miami don't have a statue of Dan Marino, do they? :P:lol:

If Jake got a statue 89 should get one right beside him.

Hopefully they're not holding hands there.

Put me in the camp that thinks Jake should eventually get a statue. He might not have been the greatest Qb in the league, he might not have had multiple Pro Bowl appearances, and he might not have ever won a Super Bowl. But Jake did more for this franchise than any single player has EVER done for us. 10 years from now people aren't going to remember his terrible final year, they're going to remember all the good things he did for us.

nothing against your thoughts but the only reason he did anything for this franchise is because Fox was to stubborn to bench his ass and get someone new in and thats a fact, we saw how good moore was at the end of 07 so y not let him compete in 08??? yeah we made the playoffs and had a great season with Jake, but Jake was horrible that year and our ground game carried us, and last year had Moore been the starter who knows where we could have ended up, I know we are a hell of alot better then the saints.........

And on top of that, look at his stats, he has ALWAYS struggled with throwing costly int's and aside from one season, he was less then average.....

    • I honestly think this coming season is his make or break year. I have noticed some press conferences where Dan and Dave have made some interesting comments when asked about bryces future and upcoming contract and they've basically said they're not thinking about that or factoring it in at all.  Hopefully he continues to improve, that is our best bet.   The conspiracy theorist in me thinks they have already start preparing if he doesn't make another jump this year. The thing that have made me wonder, while doing some detective work.  The Redshirt freshman from South Carolina, Lanorris Sellers.  He has crazy potential and improved greatly throughout the season last year.  I saw we had 11 south carolina players in for our top 30s including 5 or 6 that were expected to go undrafted.  It's a bit of a conspiracy theory but could they already be doing a lot of research on Sellers by talking to his teammates.  Again, I'm not a Bryce hater and I think the best option is he continues to make a jump this season.  It's just something that has stood out to me.
    • AT cant' get open either.  He is just a savvy old guy eating on up all the slot reps.  The fact he seperate and run lower the entire ceiling of a Bryce Young O.  As does the fact we get below league average production out of the backfield in the pass game when we go to it.  since the moment we drafted Bryce, I have banged the drum slot WR, rec RB, and TE would be the most important things we could do to build around Bryce.  We have done basically the polar opposite.  It's why I call the Tepper era random parts.
    • yeah...very favorable remarks from what i've heard.  seems everyone was also very surprised with the TMac pick.  that video was funny "he lied to my face"
