Armanti Edwards

Recommended Posts

We can't be picky. The guy deserves a chance as done anyone else, it can't hurt. If somehow he winds up here then it was for a reason. I would be all for a young QB core with a seasoned veteran to keep them on track.

Armanti Edwards to Dexter Jackson for old times sake anyone?

On another note, Jackson could play his role in our offense by running the reverse that Smitty would run back at the height of his prime. That play was effective and Jackson sure has the speed to turn the corner.

If he is listed at 5'11 that means he is almost 5'10 in reality.

then brees is 5'11

and with a qb like edwards hes not gunna stand around in the pocket all day. he'll roll out and throw on the run alot. it also opens up your offense because most of the time the defense will need to have a "spy" on edward. opening up a zone or a WR 1 on 1

Also, I can see Armanti being a valuable asset to a team.

If he is deemed incapable of playing QB, he could make the switch to WR. Granted, he would have to be developed there, but he wants to be sucessful in this league, and he will do anything to get it.

That being said, I wouldn't take him any higher than 5th round.

Im about 30 mins away from Kidd Brewer Stadium, and i have been to about 10 HUGE games over the past few years. Armanti Edwards is a great QB, but it seems that NFL scouts and teams don't give Division 2 players a chance. I hope the panthers take a chance on him at QB, i think he would fit in so well with the panthers offence, but im sure it will take a couple of years to get used to the offence since he ran a spread in college. He reminds me of steve smith, people said hes gonna be nothing but a punt returner untill they gave him a chance to play WR, now hes been a top 10 WR for years now. If the panthers give Armanti a chance, im sure it will pay off.

Lets remember he played I-AA or the now FCS. No way he plays QB in the NFL

Is this sarcasm? I can't imagine you could be this stupid.

Hell no I not being Sarcastic. Obviously you have ties to App. Put him the SEC or Big Ten every week as a QB and he gets crushed. I'm not knocking him, he's an athlete, not a pro QB. His is 5'10" on a good day. To skinny. He was recruited D1 as a corner or DB. Maybe he can play in the NFL on the defensive side but there is no way in hell he plays QB. Stop looking through the rose colored glasses. Armanti Edwards will not be a QB in the NFL. Lets take a look at Chris Leak, Played D1, Florida, won a Championship, one of the best passing QB's in College ball. He may not be as mobile as Armanti, but he was far superior to Armanti. Leak never even got looked at twice. I expect Armanti won't get half the consideration.

Try to separate the emotional part of your thinking for just a second and you will realize what I am saying
