Eagles released LB Will Witherspoon.

Witherspoon was due $5 million over the next two years. Though he played well as the MIKE when he first arrived from St. Louis in October, his play fell off at the WILL spot down the stretch. With Stewart Bradley (ACL surgery) returning, Witherspoon wasn't going to be tried in the middle again.

3 years 6 million then I'm all for it...Guy had a chip on his shoulder he didn't want to be a Panther anyway well that's the vibe I got from talking to him several years ago.

Nah, too old and pricey. We just cut a bunch of people to get our young players into the mix (and save some $$$). Why bring him in?
