Fox getting teary eyed while talking about Jake's release...

You know, Steve Smith cried after a game last year. I wonder how many of you E-gangstas have the nads to call him a pussy to his face, without a camera, witnesses, or weapons?

I'll tell you what... I will even bend those rules and go with you. Then, 20 seconds after you do it, and you're laying on the ground bleeding and (ironically) crying, I'll take you to the hospital, and later I will testify on your behalf in the lawsuit... if you would be willing to split the money with me that is.

Ah yes, so Steve Smith and Mike Minter are pussies according to these guys.

And DeAngelo Williams cried a little when his Mom appeared on the big screen at the stadium as a breast cancer survivor, so I guess DeAngelo is also a pussy according to some folks on here.

I used to think men who cried were pussies... when I was 13.

What is interesting to me that those of you purporting that business is business and shouldn't include any personal feelings likely have never worked for a corporation or large company. I have worked for top 100 and 500 corporations who spent tens of thousands of dollars every year to devise different ways to develop teamwork and foster personal relations between employees. Employees who rely on each other and have close personal relationships tend to work better together and instead of being out for themselves at the expense of others work together for team goals and extend themselves for other's success.

Again no one is suggesting that when an employee leaves the boss should cry or that personal feelings should replace good business acumen, but to assume that you can't run a business successfully unless you divorce yourself of any feelings will make you a prick of a supervisor if you ever rise to that station. Good managers figure out how to walk the line between the personal and business aspects of a working relationship.

But honestly this is the last word I will have on this.(unless I am responding to Full of Bull's response) First of all it isn't that important and secondly if you still don't get it you probably won't. None of us really know how Fox interacts with players every day or how much his personal feelings intersect with his business acumen. Frankly most of us don't even know how much Fox decides who gets hired and fired at this point or even plays. But making so much of Fox's reaction to Jake leaving is hardly indicative of anything significant or confirmation that he has blurred the distinction between a friend and employer.
