Chiefs corner tandem is completely outrageous and they have solid safeties too, I understand why he'd be hesitating to let Purdy try to attack it.

One thing KC can and has started doing is not shifting with Shanahan's motion and playing them straight up with their assignments.  With their DL and secondary they can do it.
