I wouldn't be a Panther fan if not for Jake Delhomme.

Delhomme deserves a lot of thanks from this team. He's been their best QB and was at the center of some of their best moments ever. The idea that he deserves no gratitude at all is just stupid and asinine.

Yes, he stayed too long, but that does not negate the good things he did.

Yes it does. Thank John Fox for ruining this man's career.

Ring of Honor, definitely. You don't take your team to their first SB and not get into the Ring of Honor. Retire #17? Hm... that I'm not sure about yet.

But comeon... He was better than Kerry Collins, better than Beuerlein, better than Peete, better than Weinke. He's been our best franchise QB up to this point.

Shoot me, but I don't know if Jake really was better than Beuerlein. If Steve had just been 10 years younger...

Ah, the all important qualifier.

You take 2003-07 Jake was the glue. 2008 was the being of the end and 09 I blame on Fox.

2003 was magical and the start of his legacy.

2004 he had us on the brink of the playoffs will a billion injuries to this team.

2005 a great run with not much of a running game. Teamed with Smitty to put Smitty in a very small group of players. Triple Crown for Receivers, Receptions, Yds and TD's.

2006 did a pretty good job with NO RUNNING GAME.

2007 was off to an incredible start until he got hurt. Career ending injury

2008 what was left in his tank he emptied. Our defense and running game saved this team. Sadly it came to an head in the playoffs.

2009 A painful year to watch the QB that did so much for this team. Worse was Fox leaving him in there when it was obvious to most of the fans he was finished. Had we put Moore in the second half of the Buffalo game and onward we may have made the playoffs. And who knows from there. Jake could have been cut with more digiity then he has now.

Jake was the face of the Cadiac Cats.

Jake may not be an NFL hall of famer but He clearly belongs in the Panther Hall of Fame. Look at all the videos of him. He has a season full of come from behind wins alone. (13 or 14 I believe)
