Curry has actually improved as a shooter

He is a 34 year old with a jump shot. Gets cooked on defense and brings nothing to a 10 win team except maybe bringing some Duke fans to hornets game as long as their Lakers or Celtics aren’t playing at the same time. buyout option.

Curry is here because his salary number makes the math work.  the prize is williams and the 2027 1st rounder.  Kinda makes me wonder with all these trades how much MJ handcuffed Mitch in making moves.  I

Now get rid of Clifford

This is really the bigger issue.

With the pieces we started the year with, there was absolutely no reason for this to be a 10-win team.  Clifford has been and will continue to be the biggest problem in Charlotte.  The players dont care bc there is no accountability or winning culture in place.  I still will never understand why they brought him back instead of D'Antoni or one of the other options that was out there.  I fuging hate Clifford.  He's a prime example of being handed poo you don't deserve because of who you know.  He's a fuging bum.

Ehhh, PJ was a good bench player with a reasonable contract. We just traded for a worse version and a pick probably around 20 or so, I’m not confident this will return decent value. I guess just a gamble on a Luka injury and Dallas face plant.

PJ is an okay player but he’s not a huge loss. We can replace a PJ caliber player with a top 20 pick in all likelihood and the small chance that the Mavs slump and/or Luka deals with injuries improving the pick could be a down the line upgrade. A break even at least.

But the real kicker in these picks could potentially be that we have a young core right now in Miller, Mark, Melo and Bridges. So there is every chance if we are really competing in a few years, these picks could be used as trade fuel to bring in another star via trade when this young core is in its competitive prime.

    • It's not good to leave any netminder having a bad night out there, not fair to them, not fair to the skaters still trying to win the game It's classless and shows a lack of respect, for them has a player and a human being, you aren't gaining anything, you aren't learning anything , except they just don't have it that night. I don't care if it's a multiple Vezina Winner, or a 3rd string back up, don't leave them out there to shame themselves and the rest of the team  What if Lavi left Cam in when he didn't have it, and Rod had to skate knowing he essentially has an open net at his end of the ice, would he enjoy that ?
    • If they draft Stewart at 8th, I will ask @Mr. Scot for a list of GMs and might as well ask for HC too.....
    • I can't for the life of me figure out what people are seeing in Stewart on tape. If he can't just simply run around or through the OL in front of him, he's cooked. I don't see any actual moves. If he doesn't win on sheet athleticism at the point of contact he's nullified. I don't know if I've ever seen him actually beat a block once engaged. Then, even if he just blasts right past or through the OL and has a clean path to the ball it's like he's blind. He can't find the ball. He's like a bottle rocket. Yeah, he takes off fast but he's just going to go fast in a general direction. There will be no course correction. I watched quite a bit on him just because of his perceived draft evaluation and because of the wild discrepancy between measurables and production. Watch him play and it all makes since. He's a god tier physical specimen who just happens to be playing football. I don't see a football player. People need to stop falling in love with the potential and start realizing why the potential isn't translating.
