He wouldn't be the first to get into the HOF without numbers on the field. What makes announcers, owners more deserving?

Here's a list of those right there

Using the criteria that so many have pointed out - what in the heck are any of those guys going there?

What all of those people have in common is their role in the advancement and furthering of the NFL game/product, which Pat Tillman, quite frankly, had no hand in. He furthered a sense of patiotism, sure, but not the NFL product.

who cares that he gave up money to go die for no reason

Hey Fiz....Go fug Yourself. Most of your posts are just stupid rantings of an apparent idiot. However, this one proves that you are truly a fuging moron.

I agree with the no answer based on his on field. I like the idea of an honorable mention or something though...or a special place for those that go above and beyond on the community service etc.

PS...keep the personal attacks out of the forums...consider yourself warned

I said that based on the criteria that was listed by posters in this thread for reasons he should not go would also eliminate many of those people as well. That criteria included rings, stats, awards, on field play, championships, hall of fame is earned on the field, not off. I don't disagree that those people should not be included, they do. I was only following the logic of this thread. My vote in this poll is that Pat Tillman belongs for some of the same intangibles that some of these other people belong. I do not have a vote when it actually comes down to it though so it's just a thing.

He got a Medal of Honor. He deserved that. Nothing else.

If you do some research into how he died, you might be surprised.

Being killed by friendly fire and then having it covered up still does not belittle what he did. I think you'll find most people know how he died.
