How long did you take off work for your 1st born?

I hear the bank people take 12 weeks off...is that just a myth??

Im taking a week, for sure and will try to totally disconnect from work. But im sure i will work some on the phone and the computer.

Probably hang around the house another week.

What I liked about WB vs BofA though is the family care time you could take all during the year and that first year you will need it.

At BofA it's all front loaded. I mean what guy wouldn't want those 12 wks unless you are a hard charger and I don't give a monkey's elbow about climbing the ladder.

Here is how I keep a good perspective about kids and time off etc. My 8 yr old will only be 8 one time. My 10 yr old will be 10 just once.

If they have something going on at school or are the least bit sick, I'm lucky enough to work from home so I can be there or take time off.

Next week taking a train trip with the oldest. Wouldn't miss it for anything.

oh well...i hope my kid appreciates the week...ill tell them about when they are older.

the one (or two) times i wish i worked for one of the banks...thats good stuff. But in reality, i could not keep my job if i took 3 months off...

    • I would jump on this as soon as possible.   Bryce Young, QB, Panthers Would they really cut bait and move on from a No. 1 overall pick? The Panthers have been a different team since they switched to Andy Dalton, and if they're sticking with the veteran quarterback, it's probably better to deal Young now than in the offseason. If you're a team without a QB of the future, taking a shot on Young is low-risk and low-cost — basically two years and $10 million after this season. The Panthers could wait until they draft a quarterback in April, but the demand might not be as strong then. A team like the Dolphins, unsure if they can count on Tua Tagovailoa due to multiple concussions, would have an inexpensive plan B who would upgrade their backup situation if nothing else. Potential match: Young to the Dolphins, for 2025 third- and sixth-round picks
    • I don't know if iCanales is good or not yet. I'm not even certain it's possible to know. The organization is just awful right now, and I'm not sure it gets any better without a full factory reset. I've laid out what that means numerous times, but I don't know that we're any closer to such a thing happening.
