The Cardinals want a fucking third for Boldin

I would approve of this if he is ok with him & Smitty sharing. The "I want to be the starter" part he might ask scare me, so hopefully Smitty talk to him if we get him. Maybe then we won't need to draft a WR & look at DE with Pep not coming back.

It's not Smitty he should be worrying about sharing with.

once his nose heals they'll be the best of friends.

I'd have to agree that someone will most certainly offer more than a third.

For the Panthers? Two or three years ago I'd have been all for this. With him now past his 20s and likely looking for a big payday, I'm not so certain.

Kevin Walter or Nate Burleson could likely be had for less money than Boldin would want. No, they aren't as dominant, but they're younger (especially Walter) and might have more left in the tank.

Bottom Line: If the Panthers did this, I'd be okay with it, but I'd also be okay if they didn't.

This was already reported over a month ago by Chris morentson on sports center. Probably wont happen since JR is going cheap on us.

Maybe, but when Chris Mortenson reports something, it's a guess he threw at the wall. This may have actual merit.

With our offense it makes no sense to have 2 #1 receivers. We need speed at both the WR and KR positions. Especially the KR position. Boldin is a great reciever but not really a deep threat so to speak. We need someone who will intimidate enough so that the safety won't come down in the box on the other side of SS.

Either Scenario is a gamble. Taking a WR in the Second round or Signing Boldin. Both of them could be sitting on the bench come midseason.

I am good either way. I like Boldin and teamed with Smitty and Moose/Jarrett would definitely make teams respect our passing game. Leaving Double Trouble to cause all sorts of problems.

Go Panthers
