Thursday RFA Tenders

Putting a second on Marshall either suggests they don't really see him as indispensible, don't think anyone would try and take him, think they can still match the deal or feel really good about Munnerlyn as a replacement. Since we got him with a second, it would still be a wash.

Plus they might know what kind of contract expectations he has and are willing to let him go given they won't be meeting them and at least want some compensation. I remember his agent saying that when he became a free agent he expected to be one of the highest paid corners in the league.

Marshall was taken in the 2nd round so I guess that means he got the low tender.

Marshall was a 2nd rounder, so he would have gotten the same pick regardless.

It's a good year for corners in the draft, but still. I hate this.

I have a feeling this list is going to get long, so to save space, if you come across one, just add it.

Ronnie brown is worth a first round pick??? Brown has had his knee blowed out a few years back and also has been nicked up some here and there for the past few seasons. At best he is worth a 2nd are 3rd rounder at best in my eyes. Browns is injuried prone since blowing out his knee.

I think the Panthers are trying to prove a point now.. that Marshall is not worth elite CB money. Marshall will be able to negotiate with other teams now, and he will quickly realize that no team is willing to pay him what he thinks he should be paid. Panthers will more than likely match the offer he brings back to them.. and I guarantee it will not be top CB money.
