Once again, BEATING YOURSELF.

What? You can't throw past the first down marker, penalty called or not.

Had he not been held, he would have been at the first down marker...

fug it. Why do I bother trying to talk to people who don't know poo about football? :frown2:

Not to argue, but the best way to negate a ferocious blitz is to run straight at it, around it, through it... all of which we are capable of.

I agree.. but in their case they blitz against the run too... They have best run defense in the league I think,

Yea I really hate that Collinsworth ***.

Every time Atl makes a mistake he makes an excuse or actually congratulates them on it. Whereas if it was almost anyone else they would be called stupid or a mental mistake.

The guys calling the games this year have been so outrageously biased it's ridiculous.

Your an idiot.

Collinsworth is very good, do you all have to bitch about every announcer?

Westbrook... Eagles are not one dimension... Plus their defenses blitzes will kill us.

They throw a lot more than they pass. And they do run, they are at the bottom of the league in YPC. Westbrook has been beat up a lot this year, and isn't likely to be much better when and if we play them. I would much rather face Westbrook than Jacobs, Peterson, or Turner, or Deangelo Williams.

f*ck it. Why do I bother trying to talk to people who don't know sh*t about football? :frown2:

Actually, idiot, I know a lot about "FOOTBALL," even though blocking someone's progress applies to ANY AREA in life, not just football, duh.

It still doesn't change the fact that that play is exactly what the Panthers usually run. You need five yards to get a first down, so you choose a play that gets you THREE in hopes that the receiver can fight for the other two.

Just throw it past the first down marker, you increase your margin of error if you do.

More can go wrong if you throw it short of the first down.

It's simple logic, really.

Has nothing to do with "FOOTBALL."
