My collection of Star Wars Figures and comic books and sports cards

OK, so my mom finally bought my the last of my childhood collections which include:

60+ star wars figures still in the package and each in zip lock bags (from the 1990s)

star war vehicles in the package (1990s)

star wars figures out of the package, including princess Leia (1960-70s)

comic book rarities (nothing crazy, but I do own flash #1 and many xmen, etc...)

a ton of baseball cards from the 1980s

a ton of very rare basketball cards, i.e. micheal jordan hologram mvps, shaq, etc...

autographs from 1993 UNC mens basketball team, follow by autographs from stackhouse, carter, jamesion, etc...

My question is will any of this stuff ever be worth anything? Should I try to dump some or all of it to the first person I can find, are would it be worth me sitting on this stuff for another 20 years?

I just cant undestand now that I am older, how adults with money would ever value toys and comic books? When I was younger, and had an imagination, I was so passionate about collecting these as an "investment". Now I have them and I have my doubts...

Anyone familiar with this stuff?

I think the toys lose their value if they are out of the original boxes but I am not a collector so I am not sure about that.

Comics gain astronomical value especially if they are original editions and have been cared for properly. Those you would probably need to check on - possibly older X-Men and original Flash comics might end up being highly valued. I used to have a lot of comics myself when I was a kid....if I had held on them - who knows the kind of money I would have now! I had some rare ones but foolishly tossed them....

I dumped all my Star Wars stuff on ebay a few years ago and did ok. Nothing was in a box. Cards are worthless right now. Hold on to them. Ebay has killed the market for collectable's. Before cards were harder to find and now we have the internet to search for it. I put some rookie cards i had that were worth a nice penny back in the day but when i put it on ebay i noticed that there were loads of the same cards. All going for cheap because there are too many of them. Also i don't think card collecting is popular with the kids anymore. Wait till the fad comes back.

Card collecting has never been more popular but cards in the 90's where mass produced. Collectors now want short print rookies autoed or with a Jersey in it.s

I have a Keyshawn Johnson jersey....I wonder it that is worth anything?

I have all the original Marvel Comics tucked away - the first 15 or so can be worth a little money as long as they are original release (square price box) and not reprints (diamond shape price box).

I have an original run "Star Wars Album" but I wrote my name and a couple of other things in it. Have not seen many of those around.

I also have a solid brass Millenium Falcon key chain from Return of the Jedi. Never seen another one.

Yeah, there are a lot of albums I wish I had the forethought to buy 2. Especially since they were so cheap at the time.
