Per Schefter: Jets team sources say Thomas Jones will be released this week. I know the guy is up there in years but he was a beast the last couple of seasons for them.

Where in that statement did I say I wanted to see him in a Panthers uniform, I was saying that because I'm shocked he is being cut especially on a team that relies on the run as much as the jets do. It would be almost like the Cats cutting Deangelo or Stewart.

Filed to ESPN: Thomas Jones will not be restructuring his contract with Jets + will be released this week. He'll be a free agent March 5th.

Why on Earth would any "respectable" Panthers fan want the team to pick up Jones when we have Williams and Stewart. Nope not me I want Brian Westbrook:rofl:..........I kid I kid on a serious note though Steve Breaston or Antonio Bryant and Ray Edwards would just be amazing pickups IMO. Though for us to get Edwards the Vikings would have to not tender him which I don't see happening.

I'd love to have that guy back in a Bears uniform, Worst offseason moves the Bears had made since the SB year was releasing Jones and getting rid of ron Rivera as DC......oh, and not firing Lovie Smith.

Not going to start a new thread on it but apparently S Antrel Rolle from Arizona will be released this week to, however they apparently want to try to resign him.
