Crazy to think how similar the scenarios are as far as initial QB investment. Niners were going all in on Trey Lance and are now at Brock Purdy pretty much through ill fated luck on Lance’s part. 
 

It’ll be interesting to see how things go as far as Bryce’s development and if he can stay healthy. Lance shows that all it can take is one injury and a backup coming in kicking you to the curb

It looks like the HC hire is all Morgan.

If so, we need this staff to work out. If it does, Tepper will have learned the correct lesson.

If it doesn’t, he’s going to go back to what he was doing.….if he has actually gone more hands off.

The problem hasn't been Tepper stubbornly refusing to learn from his mistakes. Tepper's time has been a string of mistakes followed by a 180 shift that still fails. For instance, he hires a college coach with almost no NFL experience with a staff with almost no NFL experience, and then proceeds to hire Frank Reich, a highly experienced coach who assembled an experienced legitimate NFL staff. He was criticized for holding onto Rhule too long, so then he fires Reich midway through his 1st season. He also went  from a couple retread veteran QBs to going all-in for a rookie. 

I think Tepper has shown he's willing to adapt. Just seemingly every move has stunk. I mean, if we take this example and let's say Canales fires Evero and replaces him with an absolute dud of a coordinator, I'm not going to applaud Tepper for being hands off. Bottom line, we need results, no matter how we get them.

The moves so far do indicate that Tepper has learned his lesson. Hopefully it’s true and remains that way.

The move indicates he's trying a different approach. Whether it's an indication that he's learning some lessons from past errors in trust or judgment I really could not say. In this case they are independent of each other and mostly depends on a lot of luck.

Na, its like flipping a coin and it lands heads 3 times in a row and you say tails, then you say tails and it lands on heads. Tepper is going to give the reigns to the wrong person then take it away from the right person. He can never get it right. He gave the reigns to Rhule and failed then took the reigns from Frank and got his QB and failed. Now he is giving the reigns to someone who has never been a head coach again. You cant make this stuff up

One of the issues I had with Fitterer was that he seemed to encourage Tepper to get involved in some decisions that should’ve been made by just Scott and the front office/coaches.

There’s not a ton of hard evidence of course, but from what we do have (The draft vids the team produced), it almost looked like Tepper was playing the role of Assistant GM at times. Maybe Fitterer was just too nice and wanted to keep Dave happy, but some of that stuff was alarming. 

Hopefully Morgan can strike a proper balance between keeping Tepper informed of what’s happening and remaining firmly in control of team decisions.

Rhule had roster control and a 7 year deal.  Frank got the job in many respects because he sold Tepper on his ability to build a super coaching staff (with Teps money).

Now, Tepper hires Morgan.  Morgan hires Canales.  The first name for OC interviews is Bucs WR coach Idzik, whom worked with him in Tampa Bay and Seattle.
