Irony: Julius Peppers > John Fox; or, (at the very least) Pep = Fox

Thinking about what they do, Julius Peppers has arguably been a better DE than John Fox has been a head coach. Yes, Pep is known for taking plays off. But, John Fox does the same. Apparently Fox takes whole seasons off, and that's why he has never had two winning seasons in a row as our coach. Some of you say that Pep only shows up (i.e., gets the majority of his sacks, which is kind of a myopic way to look at production) against weaker opposition. Well, perhaps John Fox does the same (BTW, aren't they supposed to do that?)! The thing is is that Pep has arguably only had one bad year, and Fox...well...looking at their entire body of work over their careers as Panthers...one is a five-time pro-bowler and the other a one-time Super-Bowler. Some say that Pep does enough to get by, but Fox does that semi-annually. Some say Pep only showed up on the national stage in "contract" years or on games where he had a national stage. Oh, if John Fox could do that, he'd be in the class of Bill Belichek.

Anyway, Pep seems to be on his way out, and you just know that John Fox is on his back in because, if history is a guide, we should have a winning year since our schedule is on the right side of weak, giving J-Rich the opportunity to make things right in Panthers universe by extending Fox, and extending our play time on the escalators and elevators (if you know what i mean).
