Regarding the structure...

His hiring is also a first step. He'll report to owner David Tepper, as will the next coach of the team...

The head coach reporting directly to the owner? 🤔

Lol there goes meaningful change. Dave still wants wveryone to have access to him so SSDD.

Remember how it was reported that Fitterer had built all these relationships across the league? He was also lauded as an evaluator IIRC.

Tepper doesn't seem to be learning anything. He has to hear all the noise...unless he's stuck his fingers in his ears.

Hell, Tepper thought Marty Hurney was a great talent evaluator.

Big reason why I don't trust his judgment.

Well, I briefly had some hope but after reading the new HC reports to Tepper my hope is now gone.

I think they have twisted the concept.  I do not know what goes on behind closed doors, but I know that the way it should work is this way--

  • The person responsible for the decision meets to seek insights and input from all stakeholders.  Then that person is empowered to make an informed decision.

The way it seems to be going---

  • The person responsible presents his case, along with other stakeholders, and Tepper uses that information to make the decision.  That is bad.  In fact, that is not good. It is bad.

    • Cutting edge analysis below https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2025-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-4-0 You gotta remember, Daniel Jeremiah talks to the scouts and GMs..... Notable highlights: #1 Abdul Carter (Edge) #2 Travis Hunter (WR/CB) #3 Ashton Jeanty (RB) #4 Mason Graham (DT) #5:  Jalon Walker (LB) #6 Tyler Warren (TE) #7  Coltson Loveland (TE) #15 Nick Emannwori (S) #22 Mykel Williams (Edge) #32 Mason Taylor (TE--3 TEs in round 1????) WR rankings (oh my!!  This is going to piss some folks off--I don't think a slot WR--Egbuka--should be in the middle of round 1, personally) #16 Matthew Golden (told ya this a month ago!!--you mocked me, some scoffed) #17  Emeka Egbuka (the sleeper we have not talked about enough!) #18  Tetairoa McMillan (according to the NFL Network Path to the Draft Crew-Ross, Brooks, Charles-the comments may have hurt his stock among GMs--I do think it might be a bit overblown, but hey, he raised the red flag--nobody else.  I am sure he will explain his meaning to satisfy GMs) #33 Luther Burden III (he has dropped quite a bit) Noteable Edges NOT in top 50, which means they could be there in the second:  Jack Sawyer, Princely. and my super sleeper pick who could be there in round 3--Josaiah Stewart, Michigan. MHS PREDICTIONS: It sure looks like #5 Jalon Walker Edge will be the pick---Mykel Williams dropped to #22. Most of the players we draft on days 1 and 2 will have a first name that starts with the letter J.
    • I feel like all the guys i think they're going to take will be gone. Graham and walker plus Carter who has no chance. If that's the case I really hope someone wants to jump the saints and we can trade back. I would want Green if he didn't have the accusations
    • I think with walker you have a pretty stable and decent floor.   With some of the others the floor is lower but yeah the ceiling is the roof.   We just cant risk that as a franchise at this point
