I reach? Are you kidding me? You're the worst at it. No where in that article did he say it was bad. All i ever said was he doesn't trash owners. Who is reaching now? Im more of a Bobcats fan than you are. Do you even go to the games? You are always on here posting during them. Another thing that is funny is you trash one for bailing on the city but you don't trash the other. The other one is praised only because he is black. Half heartedly supporting? You're a fuging joke of a fan. You talk out of your ass so much. You're constantly getting owned by people in here. PLEASE POINT OUT when i reach. I'll prove you wrong every time. You said he came out and publicly trashed the nexts owner which he never did.

Whats to address? George Shinn tucked his tail between his legs and moved his team away from here. He has no love for the city of Charlotte even though alot of people here still love him and wish he was here. Bob Johnson is selling his team to a trusted friend with no intentions of ripping the team away from the city. He didnt bail on us, in fact he left us with a pro basketball team we should be proud of if we could get over his skin color.

I honestly don't get all the hate for Johnson. He made our team competitive in 6 years after start-up. How many other owners can say the same, in any sport? He made some sh*tty draft decisions, but that's it. He sold the team to a man that loves basketball with all his being. Thank you Bob Johnson.

I'm glad Johnson was able to bring a team here, but he simply wasn't willing to do what it took to be a great NBA owner, and that's what it's going to take to succeed in this particular market. I hope MJ has what it takes, and I'd like to believe that he does.

Also, who the hell misses Shinn? He sucks. I loved the Hornets, but Jesus.. Johnson > Shinn.

George Shinn was an absolute POS...professionally and personally.

I have no issue with Johnson selling the team to MJ. I have questioned MJ's ability to run a team....based on his disaster in Washington and his God Awful track record at drafting players. However, he did bring in LB...and his trades have been pretty solid overall (with a few of them being very good...and only the Diop being very questionable).

I hope he is all in and is a success. He needs to make sure that he surrounds himself (business wise) with a savy management team. He cannot do it all himself. If he hires his buddies (ala Sam Vincent) then he will fail. If he brings in the right management team and stays active, his name and reputation will only add benefit to this organization.

The things is, with MJ being elevated to owner... maybe he gets more people like Brown to come in and help him make better decisions as far as player personnel.

What's on the court now is pretty damn good, and I feel like a lot of it is due to what Brown wanted Jordan to go out and get him. Jordan worked some good deals, but I feel like there was definitely some help from Larry there.

If he can get people to help him run this thing, and not try to be front office super man (because that rarely ever, if ever works) then things could be very successful here.

And let's be honest, the NBA draft just sucks. Period.

Larry has done a bang up job, but if you know Larry Brown you know he needs people in the front office who are willing to tell him no sometimes. For instance, Mike wanted us to draft Brook Lopez, Larry wanted DJ Augustin. Mike deferred to Larry and allowed him to choose his first draft pick. Was it a mistake? Larry wants us to now trade DJ and that HORRIBLE trade offer with Indy is a biproduct of that. Luckily we did not pull the trigger on that one. But thats just an example to show it aint just Larry, Mike & Rod have put in work too.

Please define competitive?! In the NBA over half the teams in the leauge make the playoffs. And we havn't done it yet?! in the East no less?!?! So how is that a competive team?

The last NBA expansions of the past 20 years....

Orlando Magic...made their first playoff in year 5

Charlotte Hornets...made their first playoff in year 5

Miami Heat...made their first playoff in year 4

Minnesota Timberwolves...made their first playoff in year 8

Toronto Raptors...made their first playoff in year 6

Memphis Grizzlies...made their first playoff in year 9

The Bobcats are in Year 6. Expecting the Bobcats to come out the gates and be elite contenders is misguided. They barely missed the playoffs last year and won more games in year 3 than any franchise in NBA history (excluding the 82 Dallas Mavericks). Outside of the Sam Vincent year, the win total increases each season signalling the franchise is moving upward.
