Jordan agrees to buy Bobcats

The only thing wrong with the Bobcats design is that logo of the cat and the basketball where he's facing the front. God, it looks like an ugly bat thing or something. Need a new alternate logo. The one from the side is fine. Orange as a 2nd color is fine. The jersey's are great.

I like that Brown stays with Jordan here, but after Brown leaves, I'm not feeling too great about it. I just don't think it's the right move for the team in the long run.

I think it's OK but I really wish RUFUS could get an upgraded suit, something that resembled the logo more, that's my beef. It looks like a scruffy orange gorilla suit. The guy is a great mascot though.

God I am soo happy that Bob Johnson is no longer associated with our team.

I agree. Between him giving Gerald Wallace a huge contract and making him the face of the franchise, hiring Larry Brown, and getting Jordan involved, I absolutely hate the guy. What a horrible owner.

I didnt see this posted...

"Bob Johnson was a good owner, as far as I'm concerned. I know how competitive Michael is, I know how bright he is, I know how committed he is. He's allowed me to do my job, and I know he cares, so I think it's real important that we have closure on this thing and it's even more important to know that he's the head of the Bobcats."-Larry Brown

Larry Brown needs to shut up calling Bob Johnson a good owner. What does he know about good ownership? It aint like he's worked for half of the owners in the league before!

He has also never said anything bad about the Knicks ownership. You think he is going to come out and Bash Johnson in the media? If he did stuff like that he wouldn't have a job in the NBA.

Huh? When have you ever heard LB describe the Knicks management as being "good"? LB's been pretty open about the fact Knicks management sucked and wasnt willing to work with him. The direct opposite of what he's said about Bob, Mike, & Rod. And given the fact LB has gone in the media millions of times to openly question players and management before I think you're wrong to think he would hold his tongue. I guess you think he's lying too when he says he's loyal to Mike and believes he's best suited to lead the Bobcats? Haha.

I don't think Bob was a bad owner.

In a larger market people wouldn't have time to talk about him showing up at whatever and kissing babies or whatever it was people wanted him to do.

To say he didn't care about the team is foolish. KT said it best to my in chat one night around year 2 of the bobcats: "A black man isn't gonna spend that kind of money and just let it go to waste"

Jordan will be more accepted because he is a Carolina guy. Lets just hope hw is willing to spend the $$$'s like Bob was and beyond.

Another thing to note is this will further tap into the UNC network, that has had significant success in the NBA.

Please find me a article where he say's bad things about the knicks front office. He may have never said anything good but he also has never said anything bad. Since when do players write LB's checks? The players basically work for him. He can bash them all he wants. If he went in the media and bashed owners do you think anyone would want to hire him? I hate that you like the Bobcats.

So i googled it. I figured maybe i forgot something because it has been awhile. Here is the article the day he was fired.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2496106

He loves the franchise and wishes them the best. He didn't do his job.

Feel free to flip it around or not comment like you usually do when you're wrong.

Of course he loves the Knicks franchise, he's from NEW YORK!!! :frown2: C'mon man, you've been known to reach like hell, but this is laughable. Nowhere in that article did he describe his working relationship with Dolan as "good" or say "James has been good to me". 2 statements he's made in less than 2 weeks about Robert L. Johnson and its not like he had to. He was asked about working for Michael.

Why not just stay a Hornets fan Britneck instead of half heartedly supporting the Bobcats? If your heart is still with the Hornets, go with it. Shinn will need all the fans and support he can get in a year or so when Chris Paul bolts anyway.
