After the season we just had, you fire everyone, from the GM to the janitor.  I hope it works out, but my hopes are not high.  We'll just have to see where we are this time next year to evaluate this latest promotion from within......

not coming at anyone here - for real, arguing on here is wild.

but honest question 🙋‍♂️ why do so many assume everyone on staff is responsible equally for the state of affairs?

If your boss or others in your company are doing things poorly wouldn't some of the lower level guys with a front row seat have a realistic idea of what should change. or am I the only one thinking this way?

thanks for reading

It was said numerous times across numerous reports that Fitterer ran a collective/"collaborative" Environment and Dan was his right hand man, so to me at least, that says Dan had strong input in how the roster was constructed the past few years.

Not sure if this has been addressed - but back in the day he created a thread to announce he was joining the huddle and to promote his restaurant venture. Even told folks that if they stopped by to eat to ask if he is there and he would say hello - several users did this and posted about their experience. He would post his takes from time to time on things related to the team as well.

I want to say that it was 2009 when Jake was off the rails and the board wanted Matt Moore to start that Dan posted to say he had heard from people on the team that Moore wasn't prepared to start, that he had not picked up the playbook, and some random posters who didn't know better said "yeah, like you would know anything about that".

Also recall someone who didn't like what he had to say call out his concussion and injury history - pretty sure he left after that and I don't blame him.

Thanks he seems like he would be a down to earth nice guy to meet.  I work with a guy who worked at target in Charlotte and said that Steve Beeurline came in one day to return a cheap pair of shoes he bought said he was really nice just amazed him he was returning a 17 dollar pair of shoes.

yeah, it was him and i would talk to him about how bad i felt some people were talking to him. really an embarrassing time for the huddle. you've got a panthers legend jumping in conversations here (not the only panthers player to do so) and you've got these clowns in here with internet tough guy syndrome wanting to say things from the safety of anonymity and the internet to a guy who could squash their puny heads like a grape.

he was a nice guy, but there was only so much he could take from morons in here (i'm sure a lot of those idiots with internet tough guy syndrome are still in here).

but while he as here he would give some insights into what he knew was going on and he knew because he was still friends with a lot of people on the team and he was local at the time.

I remember the times, so embarrassing for the huddle.

A model that fits in with the way Tepper likes to do business...which is kind of odd considering that he also apparently supported people trashing each other behind their backs 🤔

If Dan wasn’t an ex-Panther, no one would want him to be hired.

    • He made some excellent throws but he always has made some excellent throws here and there. I don't know what to think, which is what I was apprehensive about. Is he going to have a decent downfield game? Because okay Legette dropped one, but someone was giving stats prior to the bye or during it where he had two downfield completions and one of them was the jump ball that is just launched and fingers are crossed that our guy comes down with it, and yesterday we saw that again. The Russell Wilson school of downfield passing.  I don't feel like that is sustainable, but at the same time you have to do Something to make the defense understand they have to defend that downfield throws. Like i said, confused.  I guess I'm going to review the game for myself and look closely at his mechanics and stuff because if he actually fixed that stuff it explains the better throws. And that has been my biggest objection, or what I see as the thing that makes or breaks his chances, that unorthodox dropback and tippy toe action and not having his feet set which limits velocity etc etc.
    • The negative Nancy in me (or objective?) says that they had a bye week to prepare for the Chiefs. However, it’s one thing to have a good plan and it’s another to actually execute it. For all the flack he’s received (from me as well), Bryce seemingly has put his head down and worked his tail off and his play is giving me hope. The first 18-game Bryce showed no progression whatsoever. He gets benched, comes back, and has shown steady progress every week he has started. I think I’m starting to see what the Bryce lovers and unconditional defenders were saying all along, and I hope he can show that on a regular basis for the sake of our QB1 position.
    • Yeah, we could still very well end up 4-13 with the 2nd pick.   I think LVR has the inside track for 1, with only a JAX team as a team on docket that could be beatable.
