DeAngleo Williams thinks Jake should remain starter

I'm really happy Moore isn't that emotionally unstable. These guys are football players not high school cheerleaders.

Of course I know, that Moore isn't going to freak about just this comment from DWill. But my thinking was that Moore has shown he can play in this league. I would assume that he would believe it, and a football player wants to play, not sit on the bench. Especially not sit, if he thinks he is the best man for the job. Fox showed no inclination to give Moore a chance last year till Jake was injured. Plus it appeared without the injury that Jake would have continued to be the starter. We have Hurney this week talking about an open QB competition, which sounds fine in theory. But came across more as a "create a reason for Jake to be starter" IMHO. Now your team's star running back endorses the other guy to start. If your Head Coach, Front office, and key players are picking the other guy; I couldn't blame Moore to think about life outside Carolina. Nothing to do with being emotionally unstable, just a desire to have genuine opportunity.

I can def understand that. Honestly though i think the franchise is just incapable of telling the truth. I think their actions will be much more telling. I don't see Jake starting.

I hope some of you guys who mention we should trade him are joking. What wrong with what he said? There's nothing wrong on disagreeing with him, but saying we should trade him because of his comments is just flat out stupid. And I doubt he is lying or Fox even tell him to say that or someone pay him to say it or any kind of crap you guys are saying about him. He's speaking from his heart & isn't the type who would lie out of his ass.

This is the 2nd player that has come out in support of jake....not a good way to build confidence in Moore...It also makes me wonder how Moore is in the locker room?

he was a 25yr old 3rd string backup that got thrown into the starting role after the franchise QB poo the bed..

he was probably scared out of his mind, I look at him as if he's a rookie.

people need to quit reading so far into this. it's just a typical politically correct response. give em' a break :P

This is politically correct? Really? Especially right after "open competition at QB" was announced! C'mon dude...

Like I said before, reporters were probably badgering him with questions about Delhomme. He's not going to sit there and say "ya he sucks man, those interceptions ruined our season." I'm sure if they posted the entire interview he probably praised Matt Moore as well.

I'll also say that If Moore will take this to heart and lose confidence, I'm not too sure I would WANT him starting. Quarterbacks need to have a day to day memory, can't let stuff like this keep him down. He should take this and bring it to training camp to prove people wrong.

The great quarterbacks are the quarterbacks who can throw six or seven picks the day before and get back in the huddle the next day and still be the leader of his team. Jake can definitely do that.’’

This is the complete opposite ideology of Chris Harris' boycott losing campaign.
