New York Super Bowl imminent?

Nah, it's not seating capacity. It's hotel capacity.

I'd love to see a legit cold weather Super Bowl. Bout time.

Hotel capacity is definitely the biggest reason, but entertainment options are another. There just isn't as much to do here as there is in larger cities. Uptown has grown by leaps and bounds over the last decade, but it still has a ways to go before it could entertain the number of guests the super bowl would bring.

winter cancellations are funny in the northeast

the first time it snows, doesn't take a whole lot for people to shut down schools or campus or even businesses. however after a while when you hit a 3 week stretch that you're getting pounded with storms once a week, they start working harder to clean the roads.

trust me, a blizzard couldn't shut down a superbowl. i just wouldn't want to be one of those poor bastards stuck in route 3 traffic and coming home from work and not going to the game that day.

I have no issues or reservations about the superbowl being played in cold weather cities... Detroit, Indy, New York... ect.

The only issue is the fact the new stadium is not a dome. I would perfer not to see a snow bowl. Those elements can have a huge effect on the outcome of the game. I'm sure the NFL will award it to them anyway... I mean if Detroit can get a superbowl... Any city can.
