Are The Panthers Going to Tender ANYONE?

It would be really funny if the CBA was extended and then all these RFAs that teams had tendered are suddenly FAs!

I get the impresion the Panthers are working on extending players first and then if nothing is done they will announce to tender on deadline day (or there abouts). With the future uncertain, it would be best to actually lock up the guys you wan tto keep for a while rather than relying on the RFA.

What is that orange looking sauce? Looks tasty

lulz. it's marty hurney's special sauce. ;)

this team is bound for failure this coming season. i can feel it already. peppers is gonna walk, we're gonna trade our first round pick of next season to move up in the second round to get a bust at wide receiver. then half of our defensive tackles will get injured (even though we have a million of 'em already)... then fox will start delhomme and well... we all know what happens after that. end of story.

Yeah, they're going to rebuild with Fox and Co on lame duck contracts. That makes perfect sense.

No, but they can let the tear down start.....and look to legitmately rebuilt after this season w/ the new coach (save money and not put bring on any more legit bodies or waste money). Foxy and this year can't be part of the rebuilding process if Jerry ultimately wants Fox out (which is the way it seems).

Something everyone forgets is that Marty Hurney's contract ends the first of May. If he is wanting an extention he can't rely on the season itself. Really smart move on JR's part, actually. So Hurney won't be doing any tearing down or over buying to save his job.

As for the RFA are concerned, it is actually a surprise that any teams have offered tenders. Most thought that teams would wait until the very last minute. And the only team I have heard of offering tenders to higher profile players is NO. All other tenders have been to 2nd or 3rd string players on other teams.

I am watching other teams apply Franchise Tags, Transition Tag and Tendering players. So far we have only signed a DT and told Peppers to walk.

I sure the hell hope they do something to keep the core of this team intact.

Hello? sir? these are the Panthers, you know.....when have you ever known them to keep up with the status quo of the rest of the league?
