Antonio Bryant will become a free agent

You seriously think AZ is going to let Breaston walk? He's an up and coming star, and they're about to trade Boldin away..

might as well erase him from the FA list. also: Bryant doesn't suck. he had to deal with constant quarterback problems/changes for the first half of the season.

This guy? He's too fat to have amazing hands. He must've butterfingers. ;)

I would be fine with getting Bryant if he isn't expensive to keep. With how we're not paying to tag Pep, maybe we can have some salary left to sign Bryant once we signed Moore & others first. Maybe then we can get a DE or something on our first pick in the Draft instead of a WR.

George was a hand model before that bitch pushe him onto the stove...

give williams a 5 year/$25mil with $15-20mil guaranteed that is pretty heavily weighed at the front.

we are so used to giant contracts being given to peppers that we think all long term contracts will cripple the team. paying williams about $5mil a year is a bargain, imo. who cares if we only get 3-4 years of starter quality performance from him? it would be worth it, imo. if he takes a back seat to stewart in the last couple years of the deal it isn't a bad thing. he'll still be better than most RBs out there.

RBs aren't all that expensive compared to OTs, DEs, NTs, and QBs. as long as he is able to do some damage carrying the ball he should be here. it would be nice to not have to worry about grooming a player into a starting role for a while. the security that having both of these guys bring is worth $7-8mil a year.

if it ain't broke....don't fix it. after going so many years without a dynamic rushing game...you don't go and give it away.

That'd be nice but I'm not sure how realistic that is. Turner just got close to 35 million and he was a backup that was still largely unproven. I think DWill would bring in 40+ mill easy on the open market so I doubt he'd be willing to give the Panthers that much of a discount.

As for Bryant, I'd at least bring him in and see how much he wants. Sign him if you can get him for a reasonable deal. Add Lance Moore for cheap if you can and a decent WR in the 2nd or 3rd all of a sudden we're deep at WR rather than extremely thin.

jones drew had a 5 year $30mil contract with $17.5mil guaranteed. he might warrant about that much but i don't see him getting greedy. i honestly don't see him making more than $7mil a year and think we could get him for about $6mil. you front load that contract giving him a hefty amount this year ($10mil) and you could get him for around $5mil a year with some nice incentives thrown in.

at any rate...giving him a long term deal won't come close to breaking the bank the way peppers did.

btw...turner's 34.5mil contract was for 6 years and only $15mil was guaranteed.
