It doesn't surprise me that people wouldn't "get" a psychological thriller.

I heard people though Paranormal Activity was boring and some left during it, while I thought it was one of the better horror movies in recent years because of how it slowly built tension.

People are stupid. I laughed all the way through Platoon, people next to me never laughed once.

There may be a legit reason some walked out. Without giving too much away I can see why. It's a very intense film.

I dunno, still couldn't watch it in a theater. You are talking to a guy that had to watch "What Lies Beneath" with one eye closed.
