I don't think a lot of people realize that when people make non-trivial websites they spend about as much time developing the site as they do getting it to work with internet explorer. The industry has these things called 'standards' meaning if you specify something then the browser will display it a certain way. Microsoft doesn't seem to like standards. View the source of any site out there and you'll see all sorts of stuff that's meant for IE and IE alone.

I'm sitting here trying to debug a core piece of functionality that works perfectly in Firefox, chrome, safari, whatever/everything except IE. IE doesn't even show an error, it just doesn't do anything.
