i get a call on my cell from a 704 number. They say, sorry, wrong number.

My cell area code isnt 704, or anywhere close to a metro charlotte area code.

What could it be?

Coincidence. Maybe they are trying to get a hold of someone who has a similar number and they made a mistake.

google the number. there are sites that list suspicious ones that people get weird calls from. if there are no results, it's just a simple wrong number.
