manning MVP

This is just really a posh pick. I mean really....... IMO even though I dont like the Falcons Ryan could have just as well been it. The Falcons did a 180 this year with him under the helm or you could go with Matt Casssel I mean really did anyone expect 11 wins from this guy? Even Dwill though RBs dont get MVP should have been above Manning.

Ryan wasn't even the most valuable player on his own team. Cassel played well, but you have to suspect that he is a product of Belichick's system. Plus his team didn't make the playoffs.

I know Peyton was the popular choice. But DWill not getting a single vote? I never expected DWill to even come close to winning, I really did expect him to get some votes. Hope he has another great year next year so he can reject the award and shove it in the faces of all those hacks.

GOOOO CATS!!!! and DWill!!

Shaun Alexander? LaDainian Tomlinson? Marshall Faulk? Terrell Davis?

Out of the last 20 years a QB has won it 14 times and a RB has won it 4 times and in 1997 Favre and Barry Sanders tied for one. Guess when the last time a defensive player won it was LT in 86'. In 51 years of the award a Defensive player has only won it Twice (the other was Alan Page in 71'). Lets face it you have to have a record breaking season to be even considered for the MVP if you are not a QB. The last two that were not QB, LaDainian Tomlinson and Shaun Alexander both broke the TD's in a season record in order to win it.

How many times has a League MVP won the superbowl?

Kurt Warner 1999 Season (SB XXXIV)

Terrel Davis 1998 Season (SB XXXIII)

Brett Favre 1996 Season (SB XXXI)

Steve Young 1994 (SB XXIX)

Emmit Smith 1993 (SB XXVIII)

Joe Montana 1989 (SB XXIV)

LT 1986 (SB XXI)

Mark Moseley (WTF a Kicker?) 1982 (SB XVII)

And that's just in the last 20 years.
