stop this whole apocalypse crap about the front office

If Delhomme is announced starter I will not watch a single Panther game until the entire front office is fired, coaching staff included.

Does that have anything to do with Peppers or is that independent of this situation? As in, if Peppers was signed to a long term contract and Delhomme was announced starter, would you stop watching?

All Hurney has to do now is announce Delhomme as the starter and Hell will be upon us.

if this happens than kurb has a plan in place to pretty much assure the rest of the nfl will be wearing #17 patches on their jerseys all season.

Has nothing to do with Peppers. Hurney did what any GM would do in this current situation. No one wants to pay someone 21+ million for one year, and no one wants to sign someone to a ridiculous contract with a potential lockout looming in 2011.

I still respect our FO for being outstanding drafters and love their decision to bring Meeks in more than almost any other move they've made. but if Delhomme is starter, I simply refuse to watch another disappointing season or buy any merchandise. If they give Jake a chance it's just showing they don't want to move forward.

there's no reason not to give him a chance to compete in training camp.

-Competition should theoretically make both of them better

-He's going to be there anyway, so you might as well

-the odds of him magically regaining his swagger are about as good as him randomly losing it last year

I just had to make sure, considering the state of the board at the moment.

yeah I guess you're right, I kinda worded it wrong. but do you really want to risk him being named starter again after wowing the coaching staff playing in no pressure games?

yeah lol, I know. everyone acts as if the sky is falling, when really we have a pretty solid set of DE's to make up for it. people should be worried about the DT/WR situation more than losing Pepp..

You and me both.

This whole situation is crazy though...I'm still sorta pissed because it is still crazy Peppers is walking scot-free! Nothing Hurney could do now, but this could have all been handled a bit better. Mostly on Peppers part though...

do you want to give the reins to moore after he can't?

I really believe that Matt is a different players "once the lights come on" than he is in practice, but he's going to need to learn real quick that quarterbacks are expected to show up 7 days a week in the nfl. You can't expect a coach to ignore a week's worth of practice, which is where the hesitation to start Moore came from.
