Richardson doesn't seem like a cheap skate but that is a good point about the owners. They could collaborate and really work over the players.

whenever someone posts MLB salaries the implication is that you can buy a team, when the MLB has made it pretty clear that you cannot, in fact, buy a team.

Just like in any sport, savvy trades and good farm/scouting/drafting beats big spending every single day of the week.

I would love for Dan Snyder to go insane this offseason on the absolutely miserable crop of free agents, especially with a probable salary cap on the horizon.
